Insanity?
I’m sure every author who ever drew breath wondered, at one time or another, if what they were doing was worth the effort. I’ve staggered around with an invisible question mark on my forehead for years now. Oh, I love writing and even more so I ADORE the rush I get when a reader shares how they were drawn into one of the worlds I created in a novel I wrote. I didn’t take up writing to make a million dollars, buy a gothic mansion, or appear on the Oprah Winfrey show. My aspirations are much more mundane. I simply want to reach people and to offer a bit of escapist fun. I ENJOY writing, and I hope that in some way, that enjoyment comes through in the stories I write.
